Gotta tell you, it was pretty thrilling to discover a new punctuation mark. Ok, so I didn’t “discover” it, rather stumbled upon it.

According to a short history of the interrobang, it was created in 1962 in order to fill a gap in our punctuation where writers often used typographically cumbersome and unattractive combinations of the question mark and exclamation mark to punctuate rhetorical statements where neither the question nor an exclamation alone exactly served the writer. (HOW ABOUT THAT?!)

Ok, I get it, I get the need for this new punctuation mark, but I have one question? Just who gets to make new punctuation marks? AND more importantly, why can’t I find it on my keyboard anywhere?! (!?#@!%)
