I also just finished listening to her A.S.A. speech and was deeply impressed. What does this Canadian woman have that guys like Chomsky and Zinn lack? Thanks to Chomsky for reminding us to organize at the end of each talk. Thanks to Zinn for urging us to follow the examples of the past. But with Klein we feel the kinship of a true intellectual who studies the dynamics of mass movements in a way that draws her listeners into an ocean tide. Sure, each person can make a difference, but it takes a speaker of Klein's caliber to make one want to just jump in.
